Warrington Town 1 Shepshed Dynamos 2

TOWN paid the price for some poor finishing as they were defeated by lowly Shepshed Dynamos at Cantilever Park.

Despite having the better first half chances, The Wire squandered opportunities to take the lead and eventually paid the ultimate price.
Karl Rendell and Thomas Lamb both had good chances to give Warrington the lead, but failed to hit the target.

Gavin Lynch looked lively and his 70-yard run almost made the break through, but Shepshed Keeper Gavin Hateley denied him.
Two minutes before half time Karl Brown was left unmarked in the box, but could only place his header wide of the upright.
After the break Town started to press again and were awarded a penalty when the referee pointed to the spot after a hand ball incident.
Brown confidently stroked the penalty home, but the lead only lasted two minutes as Jamie Clarke looped a header over Shane McWeeney from a corner.
Buoyed by the equaliser, Shepshed pushed for the winner and duly got it in the 73rd minute after a defensive mistake allowed substitute Eugene Francis to score.
Town Sub Conner Taylor had a couple of good chances to score late on but his efforts were well saved by Shepshed Keeper.
