Warrington Town 1 Quorn 1
THE Yellows will rue their missed opportunities as visitors Quorn snatched a point at Cantilever Park.
Warrington were able to welcome back former captain Chris Fitzsimmons and also handed a debut to new signing Danny Crane.
It was Town who started the brightest and indeed took the lead after 10 minutes when Scott Williams raced to the bye line and found striker Thomas Lamb in the middle, who was able to finish past Daniel Haystead in the away goal.
Quorn then missed some decent chances to draw the scores level, but it was The Yellows who missed a glorious chance to double their lead before half time when Lamb saw his penalty saved after Carl Rendell had been up ended in the box.
At the beginning of the second half Nigel Julion went close for the visitors before both Rendell and Lamb missed good opportunities to seal all three points.
The equaliser did eventually come on 70 minutes when Liam Hearn slid the ball post Town keeper Shane Mc Weeney.
Next up for The Yellows is a Liverpool Senior Cup quarter final clash against Prescott Cables on Tuesday, January 22 at Cantilever Park.
