AMBITIOUS Warrington Town have shown their intentions for the future after securing the signing of Matty Elder (pictured) from Buckley Town.
The classy defender who has spent 5 years at Everton, is described as a very good, strong on the floor and in the air.
Town are confident he will prove to be the find of the season and will firmly establish himself as one of the finest central defenders in the league.
Director of football derek Brownbill said: “He has the ability, power, pace and tactical know how that you would expect of a player that has been schooled at a Premiership Academy and quite simply is a quality player that we hope will be a great success at Town.
“This is a great signing for the club.”
Meanwhile manager Ian Street has added former Everton and Stockport County striker Brett Angell to his backroom staff as the club’s First Team coach.
Ian said: “Brett will bring us an immense amount of experience and just from working with him in the 2-0 cup victory over Rossendale I can see he has had an immediate impact on the players and we as a club can only benefit.”
