WARRINGTON Town manager Joey Dunn has been named Evo-Stik NPL First Division North manager of the month for February in recognition of the team’s recent run of good form.
But Dunn, who has guided the club to 10th place in the league and within touching distance of the play-offs ahead of Saturday’s home game with Woodley Sports following an unbeaten run of nine games, has dedicated the award to everyone at the club.
Joey said: “I want to say thank you to everyone for their continued support and we share this manager of the month award as a club.”
The Wire have remained unbeaten in 2012 and Dunn only lost out to January’s awards as AFC Fylde had a slightly better overall monthly record.
February has seen Warrington play four fixtures collecting 10 from a possible 12 points. A 4-0 home win against Lancaster City was followed up with a 1-1 draw against Mossley. A third game in eight days saw Town win 3-1 at home to Bamber Bridge before rounding off the month with a 2-0 victory at Ossett Albion.
Joey said: “I want to say thank you to everyone for their continued support and we share this manager of the month award as a club.”
He last won the award at the start of last season when the club went on a run of 12 games unbeaten.
