Village walking day
TODAY is Stockton Heath Walking Day – and also the main day of the third
annual Stockton Heath Festival.
Bethan will be gala queen
THE annual Glazebury Gala takes place today with a procession through
the village, a crowning ceremony at All Saints Church and then a range
of activities including stalls and a funfair on the playing field at
Glazebury CE Primary School.
Dispute over conservation area house
A PLAN to demolish a house in a conservation area and replace it with
two detached houses is being recommended for approval by Warrington
planners.
Council blitz on potholes
A COUNCIL blitz on residential roads in the Bewsey and Whitecross area
of Warrington resulted in 323 potholes being repaired in seven weeks.

Town announce first new signing
WARRINGTON Town FC have announced their first signing for the new campaign – 19-year-old goal scoring midfielder Anthony Hickey from local rivals Bootle FC.
Clarke returns to squad
UTILITY player Jon Clarke returns to the Warrington squad for the first
time since the back end of last season following the broken leg injury
which enforced him to miss last season’s Challenge Cup final victory,
when the Wolves take on Castleford Tigers at The Halliwell Jones Stadium
on Sunday, kick off 3pm.
