Demon bowler Sygrove grabs victory for Appleton

APPLETON raced to a 10-wicket victory over Wilmslow in the UKFast Cheshire League after an incredible bowling performance by Harry Sygrove.
In just six overs, four of which were maidens, Sygrove took 7-4 as Wilmslow were humbled for 55.
Appleton openers Adam Pearson, 30 not out and David Lomas 23 not out hit off the runs without difficulty.
It was a good weekend generally for Appleton with three of their four teams winning.
Appleton 2nd won at Neston after hitting 192-6, Guy Collighan 79 and Lee Stoll 56 not out. Chris Tomlinson took 4-29 as Neston would only muster 139.
Appleton 3rd hit 154-9 against Rostherne, Nick Williams top scoring with 50. The visitors were bowled out for 84, Ben Frodsham taking 3-12 and Andy Morrison 3-11.
And Appleton 4th were dismissed for 130 by Warrington 4th in a “derby” game. Asa McGrath hit 28 not out and Kevin Lomas 27 while Mike Fagan-Hall took 4-14 and Emily Page 3-15 for Warrington.
Warrington lost three wickets reaching their target, Tom Jones hitting 335, Howard Sellers 44 not out and Prakash Mohan 31.
Lymm Oughtrington Park hit 111-9 against Langley, Liam Ramsbottom hitting 32, Steve Knowles 26 and Nick Chadbourne 20.
Langley hit off the runs for the loss of two wickets.
Warrington 3rd went down by seven wickets against Ashley.
William Gilbert hit 32, James Lewis 29 and Umer Zeb 28 not out as Warrington reached 133-7. Ashley took the game with 134-3.
