SIX neighbours have objected to plans for 10 two-storey houses on a site in Warrington, which is being recommended for approval.
An application by Patrick Joinery for the homes at the former Culcheth Youth Centre, Church Lane, Culcheth will be considered by Warrington’s development control committee.
Residents living nearby are concerned about car parking, cars reversing onto footpaths and that the development is too high a density for a small site. They also say proposed gates look unwelcoming.
Culcheth Parish Council has also objected to the proposal.
Planners say the site was previously used as a youth base and the vacant buildings are in a “poor state” and remain on site. A sewer runs through the site and the application has been amended from an earlier one to maintain access to it.
Finance generated from the original scheme has helped fund a replacement facility at Culcheth High School, they add.
