Appeal for witnesses after suspected arson attack on play equipment at Victoria Park

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a suspected arson attack on play equipment at Victoria Park on Knutsford Road in Warrington earlier today.

The incident occurred at around 2.45pm and one crew from Warrington attended at the scene.
On arrival the crew found play area equipment well alight.
Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet and were in attendance for around 15 minutes.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
