Missing woman found safe at Appleton after helicopter search

A 21-year-old woman who was reported missing in the Appleton area of Warrington during the early hours of today was found safe after a search involving the police helicopter.

A police spokesperson said: “At 00.41 on Wednesday 22 April police received a report of a 21-year-old woman missing from the Appleton area. Officers along with air support assisted in searching for her.
“The woman was located safely a short time later in woods near to the Dingle and taken to hospital by ambulance.”
