Residents show support for town’s refuse collectors

WARRINGTON residents are showing their appreciation for the town’s refuse collectors by cleaning their wheelie bins prior to collection.

Residents on Welsby Close in Fearnhead, put messages on their bins this morning letting refuse collectors know they had been cleaned and thanking them for working through the Coronavirus pandemic while most people are staying at home.

Warrington Borough Council has full waste collection services currently running for all residents which will be maintained at the same level for as long as possible.

In addition, Warrington’s Community Recycling Centres – in Gatewarth, Woolston and Stockton Heath – remain open. However, these sites will be playing a key role in supporting the waste team to manage residual waste, so residents are asked to only use these sites if absolutely necessary.
