Multiple wheelie bins set on fire in Great Sankey park

FIREFIGHTERS were called out during the early hours of today (Sunday) after multiple wheelie bins were set on fire in a park area at Great Sankey.

They were called to reports of a fire in a park in Thorntondale Drive, Whittle Hall, Great Sankey, Warrington at around 3.50am.

On arrival the crew found multiple wheelie bins alight.

Firefighters extinguished the large fire with an extended hose reel jet and were in attendance for around 40 minutes.
