Warrington Worldwide is much more than a magazine!

by Ben Wakerley MD Warrington’s Own Buses

I became Managing Director of Warrington’s Own Buses in April 2017 and was told by the Directors of the company that Warrington Worldwide magazine and Gary Skentelbery would be good to strike up a working relationship with.

Since meeting Gary, I’ve found him trustworthy, supportive and dependable. We have found that advertising in the magazine has been straightforward and effective and more importantly, specifically targeted to the people we want to reach. Gary is a real ambassador for the town and seeks out and stresses the positives.

Warrington is a brilliant town, with an entrepreneurial spirit and intelligence. Since being here, I’ve been impressed by the Omega development, the investment in the town centre, political leadership on all sides and the town generally.

The Peace Centre is a remarkable and moving place. I’ve learned about Rugby League… and the town’s schools and colleges are something to be very proud of.

As a newcomer, Gary has helped me to connect with people across the town and to strike up relationships. We have worked together online, in print, on video and even on an open top bus!

It is good to see a magazine and social media that accentuates the positives as well as acting as a critical friend at times.
