AWARD-winning Bents Garden & Home has teamed up again with Mortons Dairies to “gear up” for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday.
Every year, the garden and home centre at Glazebury, near Warrington, takes part in the national event and is joined by customers and colleagues who join in to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
So far, the business has raised nearly £50,000 since it began supporting the initiative.
The “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. Last year it raised more than £26 million.
Charlie Goodwin from Bents teamed up to promote the event with Steve Ledsham of Mortons, the region’s largest dairy.
Mortons were on hand to donate a mountain bike for an auction being held on the day in aid of the charity.
Matthew Bent, managing director of Bents Garden and Home, said:
“Our coffee morning continues to be popular with all our colleagues [and suppliers.  Macmillan does incredible work in our local community and it provides valuable support to help from the moment of a cancer diagnosis so that people can live a life as fully as they can.”
Julian Harrison, manging director of Mortons Dairies, added: “We are pleased to once again lend our support to Bents Garden and Home, and Macmillan for this incredible cause. Many of our staff and their families have been directly supported by Macmillan and it is a charity very important to us.
