STOCKTON Heath Library re-opens to the public today (Monday) following a £195,000 redevelopment.
But the “official” reopening, with a tape-cutting ceremony will not take place until Friday, at 9.30am.
The library, on Alexandra Road, is the first in the town to benefit from Warrington Borough Council’s £1 million library investment programme.
Inside the building, the library will benefit from a dementia friendly design throughout and more flexible activity and events spaces.
Stockton Heath Parish Council has moved into the library from its former premises in Sandy Lane.
The move is one of a number to make the library building more sustainable in the future.
