Eight to appear in court following drugs raids in Warrington

EIGHT people have been charged with drug offences following an operation to target organised crime in Warrington.
The Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) have charged all eight with conspiracy to supply cocaine.
They will appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on Thursday July 11.
Remanded in custody were Lewis Turner, 24, from Howson Road, Orford, charged with two counts, John Large, 32, from Fairbrother Crescent, Warrington, charged with one count, Anthony Bond, 38, from Lower House Lane, Widnes, charged with two counts, Antony Morgan, 26, from Densham Avenue, Longford, one count.
Remanded on bail were Maria Beeby, 21, from Densham Avenue, Longford, charged with one count, Katie Newton, 31, from Poole Avenue, Orford charged with one count, Paul Ratcliffe, 36, from Small Avenue, Orford, charged with one count, Julie Morgan, 58, from Windermere Avenue, Poplars, charged with one count.
Police said the charges relate to arrests made yesterday (Wednesday) as part of a number of early morning police raids in Warrington in connection with a covert serious and organised crime operation involving the supply of cocaine.
After the warrants took place officers carried out patrols locally to provide reassurance to the community.
