VIDEO: HUNDREDS of women of all ages took to the streets of Warrington for the annual St Rocco’s Hospice Starlight Walk.

Many wore fancy dress as they embarked on a midnight walk from Orford Jubilee Park, around the town, many raising money in memory of loved ones.

They were cheered on the  Mayor of Warrington Cllr Wendy Johnson, and Warrington Wolves’ Head Coach Steve Price, who attended the event for the second year running, with his family.

Price, who had earlier in the evening seen his Wolves’ side defeat Wakefield Trinity 30-6 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, entered into the spirit of the occasion, showing some dancing moves on the main stage, during the warm up.

St Rocco’s Chairman Roger Preece wished the women well as they set off aiming to beat last year’s fund-raising total of £85,000.

After all the recent rain, the skies remained clear throughout the event.
