Day nursery judged “outstanding” by Ofsted

CULCHETH Day Nursery is celebrating after being judged “outstanding” by education watchdog Ofsted.
The inspector, Karen Cox, visited the day nursery in Warrington Road in March and judged it outstanding in all four categories – effectiveness of leadership and management, quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare and outcomes for children.
In her report, she said children were extremely confident, self-assured and highly motivated to learn.
The quality of teaching was superb, the management team demonstrated a strong commitment to work with external agencies.
Partnerships with parents were “tremendous” and staff worked extremely well together and t heir commitment, dedication and thusiasm in children’s play were impressive.
Culcheth Day Nursery celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and there will be special events throughout the year, culminating with a special celebration in November.
