BIRCHWOOD Way was closed in both directions this morning, Tuesday, following a serious road traffic collision involving two cars.
The road was closed at around 9.40am while emergency services, including the air ambulance attended at the scene.
The A574 was closed between Orford Road and Blackbrook Avenue.
A Police spokesperson said: ” At 9.38am on Tuesday 23 April officers were called to reports of a collision on Birchwood Way, Warrington.
“The collision involves two cars and the driver of one of the vehicles is believed to have sustained serious injuries.”
The road has now re-opened.
