Neighbours oppose “substantial” house extension

SIX neighbours have object to plans for a “very substantial extension” on a semi-detached house at Stockton Heath, Warrington.
The scheme, in Denbury Avenue,  involves a two-storey side extension, a single-storey rear extension and a pitched roof on an existing existing outbuilding and will be considered by the borough council’s development management committee next Wednesday.
The neighbours claim the scheme will be overbearing and have an oppressive impact on adjacent bungalows and gardens.
But planning officers say although the extension is substantial, its impact would be lessened by its design and would not be sufficient to justify refusal.
