Police probe death of man who fell from Thelwall Viaduct

POLICE enquiries were continuing this morning after a man’s body was recovered from beneath Thelwall Viaduct yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the M6 bridge at 1.43pm yesterday after reports were received that a man had fallen into the Manchester Ship Canal.
A police helicopter was used in the operation and rescuers used a boat to search the canal. Police said a man’s body was recovered.
The incident was close to Junction 21.
