FIREFIGHTERS from Birchwood were called out to deal with a fire involving a garage in Withington Avenue, Culcheth, Warrington.
Two crew members wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze with a hose reel jet and once the fire was out the main door of the garage was opened to enable it to be ventilated. Firefighters then removed plasterboard to check flames had not spread to a utility room next door.
A positive pressure fan was used to ensure the building was properly ventilated.
The crew was at the scene for about one hour. Cause of the fire has not been revealed.
Earlier yesterday, three fire engines were sent to Latchford Street, Warrington where fire had broken out involving a fuse box.
The fire was out by the time crews arrived but a dry powder extinguisher was used to cool the area and a thermal imaging camera to check if the fire had spread to the ceiling.
