6am street fight leaves two in police cells

POLICE were called Bridge Street, Warrington just before 6am today to deal with an outbreak of fighting.

They went away with two men under arrest for alleged affray, racially aggravatedpublic order offences and assaulting a police officer.

The alleged offenders were then held in custody.

It was a busy night for police. A man was arrested for alleged domestic assault at Latchford and was also alleged to be found in possession of Class A drugs.

A woman was arrested at Great Sankey for alleged domestic assault and affray. Another woman was arrested for allegedly being drunk and disorderly outside a pub in Bridge Street.

Shortly before 5am a man was arrested in Lovely Lane on suspicion of drink driving.
