NEXT week sees the Warrington Business Awards take place in the events marquee in Lymm. It’s a great event.

The shortlist is out and the winners in each category will be announced on 8 June.

Warrington & Co. in association with Warrington Business Exchange are proud to be co-headline sponsors alongside FDR Law and Redwood Bank.

Looking through the list of categories and award sponsors it is great to see so many Business Exchange members in there including this very publication, Warrington-Worldwide.

The Business Exchange membership is growing fast. By the time that this goes to print we will have attracted over 100 members with more joining up every day.

Membership offers opportunity where businesses of all sizes and sectors, individual entrepreneurs, established business networks and trade associations can collaborate with the aim of creating a better connected, more cohesive and stronger economy in Warrington.

Those who have already signed up are enjoying the networking events that are being run and the range of sector specific and general business seminars that are free for members to attend.
All of the Sector Lead organisations have now been appointed and there is much activity underway setting out a bumper programme of activity. If you haven’t joined yet I’d encourage you to.

Details are on the website www.wbex.co.uk or call Jackie Emson on 01925 443294.

Development activity continues at a pace. Much of the steelwork for the cinema unit at Time Square is now up and if you look closely you can see the auditorium structure in place.

Over at Omega Mountpark are building the final industrial units on the site and the residential element is well underway.

At Stadium Quarter planning permission was granted for the £6.5 million OnSide Youth Zone to be built adjacent to UTC Warrington and work will start on its construction later this year.
