Sporting “school of the year”

CULCHETH Primary School has been named the “School of the Year” title by the Warrington School Sports Partnership.
Karen Rodgers, deputy head and sports co-ordinator at the school was also named Staff Member of the Year.
Year 4 pupil Rosie Monks also won the Disabled Pupil of the Year” award.
She took part in Boccia Sports, Change for Life, Road to the Gold Coast Festival, an ability day and a Paralympian Day.
In addition, Mr Gaz Scott won Volunteer of the Year – he has been volunteering at the school for four years in a range of sports, specialising in a running club.
Head teacher Amanda Dodd said: “Our school offers a huge range of sports to pupils and one of our main aims is to keep pupils active. We hold regular sports weeks and events.
“We are delighted to have won these awards.”
