A CAR abandoned after being driven into a ditch near Warrington was set alight early today.
The vehicle had been in the ditch in Gorsey Lane, Burtonwood for some time before it was set alight and police believe it is possible it was stolen by one gang, dumped and then set on fire by others at about 3am today.
The vehicle was completely burned out before fire crews could reach the scene.
