LOCAL girl Rachel Berwick is reaching for the stars as a Miss British Isles Finalist.
It is a very exciting time for the current Miss Cheshire North who has won through to the National finals of the Miss British Isles competition which take place at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Chester on June 25 with a chance to win £3000 and a modelling contract.
She won through to the finals against many other hopefuls.
The 26-year-old former William Beamont pupil said “ I am so thrilled to have the chance to take part in the National finals and to try be a positive role model to other young Mums out there. I want to show that anyone can achieve their dreams and succeed. It is great to feel inspired but if I can inspire others it will be amazing.
“I would really like to thank my sponsors, Claire from Ed Kandi hair salon, Khelsi from the Entertainment Emporium and Sharron from the Jeune room, their support has been fantastic.”
Apart from her charity and voluntary work the Birchwood lovely is a full time mum to her little boy Charlie who she says “is my world, we are reaching for the stars together”.
