A CONCERNED mother has launched an appeal after her teenage daughter was injured during an unprovoked attack in Latchford, Warrington, last night.

Kimberley Morrison has posted an appeal on social media seeking help in tracing the person responsible for the incident which required 16-year-old Keelyn needing hospital treatment and stitches to a wound just above her eye.

Kimberley said: “My daughter and her boyfriend were walking to the shop last night about 10.30 in Latchford and a man who was drunk attacked them both for absolutely no reason.

“As he went to grab Keelyn, her boyfriend Adam stepped in. The man then pushed Adam and started strangling and punching him, then punched Keelyn in the face.

“If anyone may know who it maybe from this description let me know please.”

She described the attacker as around 6″, with short messyish hair, stocky build and a tooth missing at the front of his mouth. He had brown, maybe dark blonde hair.”

Kimberley says police have been informed about the attack which took place near Nook Lane and Thelwall Lane near the little corner shop.
