Hits From The Jam transport Parr Hall back in time

VIDEO: WARRINGTON’S Parr Hall was transported back in time to the punk/mod era as Bruce Foxton’s Hits From The Jam took centre stage.

In front of a packed audience of mainly middle aged men rediscovering their youth, Bruce and his front man Russell Hastings blasted out hit after hit to rapturous applause.

Now four decades on from when The Jam exploded onto the scene it is hard to believe the original band split in 1982.

Foxton pursued a solo career and collaborated with other musicians, until he got the call from Stiff Little Fingers, staying with SLF for fifteen years, recording four albums.

Then In May 2007 From The Jam with Russell on board, toured the UK to sold out venues. Since then they have toured the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand as well as some dates in Europe.

Russell has been the only frontman to work with both former Jam drummer Rick Buckler and Bruce Foxton since Paul Weller split The Jam in 1982 and has been earning respect from fans across the world as a frontman and with his guitar skills.

As a genuine Jam fan, his passion and understanding of The Jam’s history is second to none and has toured the world playing to packed houses of Jam fans for years.

With From the Jam, Bruce has a hectic touring schedule and is in demand across the world and continues to sell out venues, this being his second gig in Warringon in recent years.

Still showing plenty of energy and enthusiam for a great catalogue of songs from the past it can only be hoped that from The Jam will be again returning to the Parr Hall in the not too distant future.

From the opening number In The City, to the rousing finale The Eton Rifles, there was little time to grab your breath -That’s Entertainment!
