Bogus charity collector arrested at Great Sankey

A bogus charity collector has been arrested at Great Sankey, Warrington, following an allegation of fraud involving the theft of £700 from an elderly woman.

It is alleged he collected the money stating that it was for a children’s charity. He returned, allegedly for an extra £400, but didn’t quite get what he expected – and was arrested instead.
