Man airlifted to hospital after Lovely Lane crash

VIDEO: A MOTORIST had to be cut from a car and airlifted to hospital following a road traffic collision on Lovely Lane, Warrington.

The incident resulted in the road being closed while emergency services attended at the scene of the collision close to the junction of Folly Lane and Bewsey Road at around 3.45pm today.

A man e to be in his 40s was cut free from his vehicle by firefighters and flown to Aintree Hospital with spinal injuries. His condition is not thought to be life threatening.

Traffic was diverted through the car park of nearby Warrington Hospital to help ease traffic congestion in the area.
