THREE armed men burst into a house at Warrington just before midnight, stole property and caused a serious injury to one of the occupants.
Police have appealed for information about the aggravated burglary in Andover Close, Birchwood.
Investigating officers have sealed off the area and are appealing for information from the public.
They believe three men wearing face coverings were involved in the incident.
It is not known in which direction they went when they fled the scene.
Police have not revealed what type of weapon was used, nor what was stolen.
They are appealed for help from the public and anyone who saw anthing suspicious is asked to call Warrington CID on 101 quoting incident 944 of 26/09/16.
