Company wins star award

GLAZEBURY-based logistics company, H&M Distribution, is celebrating after coming out on top at an awards ceremony in Edinburgh.
The company won the star award at the Palletways European Congress awards, for being the best performing depot within the UK network. The award recognises performance across all aspects of the Palletways operation including reliability, delivery volumes, communication and administration.
H&M Distribution is one of more than 100 member companies – all independent transport providers with local knowledge and expertise, which make up the Palletways UK distribution operation.
The awards ceremony was attended by 300 representatives from transport companies in Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and the UK.
Company chief John Hunt said: “We are delighted to be crowned the UK Member of the Year and it is testament to all the hard work put in by our entire team. Despite the toughening economic climate we have increased our volumes through the Palletways network.”
