Man arrested for assault in town centre

A 29-year-old man was arrested at Warrington on suspicion of offences of assault and criminal damage in the town centre.
The man is currently being held in custody pending questioning by police.
Police are also advising residents to be on their guard following two daylight burglaries – one in Grappenhall and one in Stockton Heath.
