Council objects to pub signs

APPLETON Parish Council lodged objections to new signage proposed for the London Bridge public house.
Members pointed out the pub and London Bridge itself were locally Listed buildings in a area of historic interest.
An existing wooded sign complemented the area, but a proposed aluminium box sign would be obtrusive. In addition, they had strong objections to two landscape signs to be positioned at the road side which would not be in keeping with the area and would damage the street scene.
