MORE than 500,000 people have used Warrington Borough Council’s contact centre since it opened 12 months ago.
Councillors, staff and guests enjoyed a first birthday celebration at Contact Warrington in Horsemarket Street.
Leader of the Council Coun Ian Marks told a meeting of the full council on Monday: “This has been a huge success and in the 12 months there have been nearly 81,000 personal visits – on average one per household in Warrington
“There have also been over 420,000 phone calls which is more than two on average for every person in town.”
He praised staff for their work and achievement in winning the Municipal Journal award for the “Best Workforce Involvement in a significant organisation change.”
