A CAR parked on an industrial estate was set alight by vandals in the early hours of today.
Fire crews were called to the Burtonwood Industrial Estate, in Phipps Lane, Burtonwood shortly after midnight after the Ford Escort was discovered ablaze.
The vehicle was completely burned out.
A Fire Service spokesman said it was understood the car had been parked at the scene for several weeks and it may have been abandoned.
But there was evidence it had been broken into and the fire had been deliberately started.
