Extension would 'block out light'

A PARISH council is objecting to a single storey extension to a house claiming it will block out light to a neighbour’s lounge.
But the application, for 15 St Mary’s Road, Penketh, is recommended for approval by planners when it goes before Warrington’s development control ommittee on Wednesday September 3.
The next door neighbour, number 13, and the parish council both object to the single storey front and rear extension at the semi-detached house. Both claim it will mean loss of light for the adjacent property.
But planning officers say it will not have an adverse impact on the neighbour and that amendments mean it complies with council regulations.
