Fire on retail park at Warrington

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a retail park at Warrington today following reports of smoke coming from behind a shop.
They discovered the blaze at the Alban Retail Park, in Hawleys Lane, involved a skip which was well alight and black smoke was billowing out over a wide area.
They used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and there was no damage to other property.
Earlier, two fire engines were sent to Grasmere Avenue, Orford where a shed was on fire.
Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the blaze and crews then damped down around the scene to make it safe.
