TWO goals from striker Ciaran  “Killer” Kilheeney saw Warrington Town continue their pre-season with an impressive 2-1 victory over a strong Salford City last night.

The Warrington Town marksman, who has returned to the club after a season away, struck twice in the first half to help Town maintain their unbeaten run in pre-season warm up games.

The visit of promoted Salford, was seen as Town’s biggest test so far – and they came through with flying colours, with a particularly impressive first half showing.

The visitors got a goal back in the second half as Town manager Shaun Reid rang the changes, trialing a few different players before the start of the season later this month.

Next up for Town is the visit of Connors Quay this Saturday, kick off 3pm.
