Libraries poised for a rush

LIBRARIES across Warrington are preparing themselves for an influx of new members as they celebrate Join a Library Day tomorrow (Saturday).
The day will launch the National Year of Reading to encourage parents, children and young people to join local libraries and take part in an on-going programme of activity.
All Warrington’s libraries have lots of free resources available for use including Internet access, readers’ challenges and discussion groups.
The first 50 children or families to join tomorrow will receive an exclusive free copy of the National Year of Reading Ultimate Book Guide and a library welcome pack.
A simple membership form, that allows people to use their pass anywhere in England, has been designed and is available from www.yearofreading.org.uk
Full details of what other events are happening as part of the National Year of Reading are available from the same website.
