LEGAL-eagles from five Warrington colleges will go head to head in a mock trial competition at the town’s magistrates court.
Students from Warrington Collegiate, Priestley College, Barrowhall College, Lymm High and Fearnhead College, will be introduced to the legal system, giving them the opportunity to work within a team and hone their public speaking skills.
They will take on the roles of lawyers, witnesses and court staff in a specially written case.
All participants will receive a commemorative certificate and medal, with the winning team awarded a trophy.
The overall best student on the day wins special recognition, with the competition as whole being judged by serving magistrates and legal advisors from the Warrington court.
This is the third year the competition has taken place at Warrington Magistrates Court and this year will take place on Sunday, April 20.
