LOCAL charity group Epiphany Trust has sent a container of much needed goods to Bangladesh.
The 40 ft container was filled with locally donated disability and schools equipment and hospital beds destined for a hospital in Dhaka. The goods will arrive in Bangladesh in mid-March and will be shared by the Tauri Foundation providing care, therapy and education for 60 autistic children in Dhaka and the Bishwa Darbar school which gives a vital and excellent education to more than 500 of the poorest 5-15 year-olds in
Chittagong.
Among those who have helped over the last year to raise funds were The Raj restaurant in Culcheth, the Eastern Revive restaurant in Lowton, Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust and Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
