WOMEN named “Carol” are being urged to take part in an attempt to set a new record for the most Carols singing carols around a Christmas tree.
The event will, appropriately, be at the Lewis Carroll Centre at All Saints Church, Daresbury, near Warrington on Saturday, December 14.
It is being organised by Christian Aid North West.
From 6.30pm, musicians, singers and Lewis Carroll fans alike will be descending on the centre for the special service – and Christian Aid is hoping a good number of them will be called Carol.
Bex Turner, Christian Aid’s events officer, said: “It will be a spectacular event to mark the start of the festive season.
“I can’t wait to see how many people named Carol we can get
to sing around the tree at the Carroll centre!”
The event will also offer a chance to raise awareness
of the work that Christian Aid does in many countries around the world.
Admission to the Big Christmas Sing will be free.
Anyone interested should call the Christian Aid North West office on 01925 573 769.
