Traffic speeds to be monitored

SURVEYS of traffic speeds on Twiss Green Lane, Culcheth, are being carried out by Warrington Borough Council.
The monitoring follows complaints from householders.
Cllr Chris Vobe said: “Over the next few months, the council have committed to assessing the problems with speeding traffic on Twiss Green Lane, a move which I welcome.
“This follows a number of requests from residents and local councillors who have reported many examples of excessive speeding in the area.
“Speeding traffic can be a serious problem which we need to face up to. These surveys should help to quickly identify the extent of the issue, and allow traffic experts to put forward measures which will help to tackle it.”
