A 44-year-old Warrington man appeared before a court today pleading guilty to owning a dog dangerously out of control in a public place.
David Savage appeared before Halton Magistrates at Runcorn.
He admitted being the owner of a Stafford Bull Terrier which attacked and killed a Pomeranian dog in Kingsway South, Warrington on Saturday July 6.
He will be sentenced on September 16.
A 44-year-old woman, also from Warrington, will appear before the court on the same day making her first appearance in relation to being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control in a public place.
Both have been freed on bail, but the dog remains in kennels.
