A SERIOUS fire involving a garage at a Warrington house threatened nearby properties.
But firefighters wearing breathing apparatus managed to control the outbreak using two hose reel jets.
The blaze was in St Mary’s Road, Penketh.
Police controlled traffic in the area while the operation was in progress. No-one was hurt.
The cause of the fire has not been revealed.
