SONGS of the swing jazz era, not to mention a dash of Western Swing thrown in for good measure, will be heard in the Parr Hall later this month when Glasgow based Rose Room, are the special guests for Warrington Male Voice Choir’s spring concert.
‘Spring Sing’ takes place on Saturday 20 April starting at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £10, are available by ringing the ticket hotline on 01942 515272.
Formed in 2010, Rose Room comprises virtuoso violinist and vocalist Seonaid Aitken and Jimmy Moon on double-bass with guitarists Tom Watson and Tam Gallagher completing the line-up on solo and rhythm guitars respectively.
Choir Secretary Dave Knight said, “We are delighted that we are being joined on stage by a group with such a fresh and exciting sound.
“With the choir themselves making a great sound as they prepare for the National Eisteddfod at Llangollen in the summer, I have no doubt we’re in for a great night.”
Adding his own thoughts Rose Room’s Jimmy Moon said, “We are really looking forward to sharing our exciting music with, and entertaining, a Warrington audience and sharing a stage with such a well known and respected group of performers as Warrington Male Voice Choir.”
