POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify following a series of alcohol thefts from shops across Warrington.

Officers who are investigating multiple shoplifting incidents have now issued an appeal for information after a crate of beer was stolen from a Co-op store in Latchford.

The incident happened sometime between 7am and 8am on Tuesday, September 29, when an unknown man entered the Co-op store on Knutsford Road.
The man allegedly left the store with a crate of Foster’s beer without making any attempt to pay.
Police believe the same man may be linked to six further incidents involving the theft of alcohol from shops across the Warrington area since the initial incident was reported.

Cheshire Police have now released several CCTV images of a man they wish to identify as part of their ongoing investigation.

Police Constable Andrew Schofield said: “We have been conducting a number of enquiries to identify the beer thief, who has struck at a number of retailers across Warrington over the past few weeks.
“As part of these enquiries, we have now released several images of a man we are looking to identify. I would like to appeal to anyone who may recognise him to please come forward.
“I would also like to appeal directly to the man pictured to come forward as we believe he holds vital information.”
Anyone who recognises the man pictured or has information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Cheshire Police via its website or by calling 101.

Information should be provided quoting incident reference number 26000802219.
