A volunteer-run Morris dancing troupe is encouraging more local people to get involved as it looks to recruit new members and build on more than a decade of bringing people together through dance.

Lymm Adivas, a non-profit-making Morris dancing troupe, has been part of the local community since 2013, offering people of all ages the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and make lasting friendships.

The group welcomes dancers ranging from young children to adults, providing a friendly and inclusive environment where members can develop their abilities while enjoying being part of a team.
Throughout the year, its dancers work hard preparing for competitions and performing at community events, representing the troupe and showcasing their skills.
But Lymm Adivas is about much more than dancing. The group believes in the positive impact that local organisations can have by bringing people together, encouraging physical activity and creating opportunities for people of different ages to socialise and learn.
As a non-profit-making organisation run by volunteers, the troupe relies on fundraising and the generosity of the local community to continue its activities and make them accessible to as many people as possible.

Now, Lymm Adivas is keen to raise its profile and encourage more families, children, young people and adults to discover what the group has to offer.
Kate, from Lymm Adivas, said the group was passionate about creating opportunities for people to grow in confidence, develop new skills and feel part of their community.
Alongside her involvement with the troupe, Kate has worked as a primary school teacher for more than 10 years, sharing that commitment to helping children and adults reach their potential.
The group hopes its recruitment drive will encourage more local people to give Morris dancing a try, whether they have previous experience or are completely new to the activity.
With its combination of dance, teamwork, friendship and community spirit, Lymm Adivas is keen to welcome the next generation of members and continue its contribution to village life.
Anyone interested in finding out more about joining the troupe, including details of weekly classes and recruitment opportunities, is encouraged to get in touch with Lymm Adivas via Kate Pritchard at katepritchard83@gmail.com
The group is also keen to hear from anyone who would like to support its work and help ensure it continues to thrive.
