Grandparents are invited to join in the fun at Gulliver’s World during a special celebratory weekend in October.
The theme park in Warrington is holding its popular annual Grandparents Weekend on October 2-3, when grandchildren can show nan and grandad around and enjoy the 50+ rides, attractions, shows and activities.
For the weekend, there is free entry for two grandparents with each full-paying person. Children under 90cm tall are also free.
Gully and Gilly Mouse, the resident park mascots, will be on hand to look after the smooth running of the resort.
Gulliver’s World is aimed at children aged 2-13, with family favourite rides and attractions including the Pirate Ship, Desperado Drop, The Antelope Wooden Coaster, and a host of amazing animatronic dinosaurs.
There are two exciting rides in Gulliver’s Gears car-themed area, the Grand Prix Racer rollercoaster and Overdrive, which provides a 360-degree thrill!
Last year saw the opening of the park’s Land of Oz themed area, which has the dazzling Upside Down House, the Winged Monkeys Wicked-inspired adventure, and the Munchkin Motors where families can drive through the Land of Oz.
Craig Clews, resort director at Gulliver’s World, said: “We have a fun-filled and action-packed weekend lined up for Grandparents Weekend, which always has a great buzz about it. It’s lovely to be able to bring generations of families together to have fun and make some wonderful memories.”
To turn the weekend into special treat for nan and grandad, you can book the family in for an overnight stay. The resort is home to a range of colourful family accommodation, including an onsite hotel housing Unicorn, Cowboy, Sweetie and Pirate themed rooms, and themed dens, lodges and tipis in Wilderness Wharf.
Gulliver’s World will be open from 10.30am-5.00pm across the weekend. Car parking is free.
